Looking for wreath cookies with little red bows, green swirls or a whole lot of sprinkles? There’s plenty of decorating inspo here.
I especially love the leafy designs, but a simple ring of colorful sprinkles is cute too.
You can keep it simple or go all out. These pictures include individual wreaths, cookies arranged into wreath shapes and a few other Christmas treats. The pretzel wreaths and plain round cookies aren’t wreath cookies themselves, but they offer extra ideas for your holiday tray.
Wreath cookie decorating ideas to try
green flakes and red berries
We’re starting off strong with these bright green wreaths. I love the uneven, leafy-looking flakes and the little cluster of red decorations at the top.
If you want to follow this look, keep the decoration in one small spot rather than covering the whole ring. That green texture already gives you plenty to look at.
green stars and shiny pearls
How pretty is this? The scalloped cookie has green piped stars in different sizes, with white and gold-colored pearls tucked between them.
Try two shades of green if you want the same mix. I’d keep that generous opening in the middle so the decorated edge really shows.
sprinkled rings with holly
I am obsessed with these little ridged rings. The red, white and green sprinkles follow the curves, plus those red berry decorations are adorable.
For a similar finish, choose edible holly decorations and place them together on one side. You don’t need a bow on every wreath!
red and green all over
If you love lots of decorations, this one is for you. Shiny red and green balls cover small round cookies arranged together in a wreath.
Choose small edible candy balls for your own version. Leave a little of each cookie’s pale edge visible so you can still see the separate rounds.
holly leaves and a big bow
This may just be one of my favorite arrangements here. Separate holly-leaf cookies overlap into a wreath, with red berry cookies and a large red bow at the bottom.
I love the tiny white dots along the leaves. Try alternating light and dark green icing if you want to recreate the same leafy mix.
white-coated pretzel wreaths
Want a different treat beside your cookies? These are pretzel wreaths rather than cookie wreaths, with brown loops showing around a white-coated center ring.
The little green holly shapes and red dots are so cute. Keep the outer loops uncovered if you’re borrowing this decorating idea.
a leafy wreath on white
Don’t want a cutout in the middle? No problem! This scalloped cookie has a wreath design on a solid white background instead.
The sweeping green leaves and red berry clusters are lovely, but that big red bow is my favorite part. Leave the center plain to follow this look.
green ridges and white tops
How cute are these green rings? A white coating covers just the upper section of each one, with tiny green holly shapes and a single red dot on top.
I’d keep the decorations this small. Those closely spaced ridges are too pretty to hide.
sage green and tiny ornaments
If you want softer colors for your wreath cookies, try this sage-green look. Little piped stars cover the scalloped rings, with burgundy, white and gold-colored decorations scattered over them.
The mix of tiny sprinkles and larger pearls is so pretty. You could use this palette instead of bright red and green.
snowy linzer cutouts
These are Linzer-style sandwich cookies rather than decorated wreaths. The white-dusted tops and red filling still make a lovely addition to a Christmas cookie tray.
I especially love the star-shaped window. If you want a more wreath-like version, choose the round center cutout shown on some of the cookies.
green rings with red and white
This is another cute green wreath idea, but the decoration is spread around the whole ring. Red pieces alternate with little white cylinder-shaped pieces over the bumpy green surface.
Try a loose alternating pattern if you like this look. There’s no need to crowd the center opening.
green rosettes and red bows
I am obsessed with these rosette wreaths. The green swirls sit around the edge of plain round cookies, with white dots tucked between them.
Don’t forget the oversized red bow if you want to follow this design. It’s such a pretty finishing touch.
layered leaves and a deep red bow
If you are looking for lots of little details, then this one is for you. There are overlapping green leaves, tiny red berry clusters and pale accents all around the ring.
I love the deep red bow at the top. Choose a similar muted red if you want something a little different from the brighter bows above.
white drizzle and red accents
These round cookies aren’t shaped or decorated like wreaths, so save them as a companion idea for your holiday tray. They have red pieces, pale chips and thin orange-colored curls beneath white drizzle.
The diagonal icing lines are my favorite detail. You could borrow that drizzle pattern for a ring-shaped cookie without copying the whole design.
white icing and delicate greenery
This white wreath is so pretty with its feathery green sprigs and glossy red accents. The scalloped outside edge gives it a lovely outline.
For your own version, use only verified edible toppings. Keep the surrounding evergreen branches as separate styling props, not ingredients.
a wreath of stars and snowflakes
Why choose just one cookie shape? This arrangement brings stars, snowflakes, hearts and small round treats together in one big wreath.
I love the green and deep red star centers. Arrange your own assortment in a circle on a large platter, with any non-edible bow kept separate from the food.
red and green candy cookies
Want something without piped leaves or bows? These plain round cookies have red and green candy pieces scattered through them.
They aren’t wreath designs, but they fit the same holiday colors. You could serve them alongside the more detailed cookies or arrange them in a wreath shape on a platter.
a little pink bow
How adorable is that pink bow? This green ridged ring has just a few pastel dots around the edge, so the decoration stays nice and simple.
Try pale pink, white and light blue accents if you want to move away from the classic red-and-green combination.
leafy cookies around a platter
This is another cookie wreath arrangement, but it has a softer green palette than the holly version above. I love the outlined leaves and tiny burgundy berries on the white icing.
Place the leafy cookies around the rim of your platter. Then add a decorated bow cookie at the bottom to bring the whole arrangement together.
green sprinkles on brown icing
Last but definitely not least, we have these cute sprinkle wreaths. The cookies are solid rounds with glossy brown icing, while green sprinkles form a ring around each edge.
The tiny red accents are a lovely extra touch. If you don’t want to pipe leaves or make a cutout, this is a decorating idea worth saving.
