Looking for english countryside bedroom ideas with plenty of pretty little details? Think floral curtains, checked bedding and a bedside lamp with a patterned shade.
These rooms include everything from pink bows and flower-filled shelves to simpler gray-green walls and white bedding.
You can keep things understated or go all out with patterns. Start with a corner you want to change, whether that’s your bed, a reading chair or the spot where you get ready.
Countryside bedroom ideas worth saving
gingham and a yellow bow
We’re starting off strong with this adorable mix of checks and flowers. I love the yellow bow cushion against the pink stripes and butterfly-covered pillows.
For an english cottage bedroom with a playful side, try checked bedding with a pink throw. Keep a few colors from your pillows in the flowers above the bed.

dark bed frame and matching lamps
Don’t want to go all out with florals? No problem! This dark spindle bed has striped bedding and navy accent pillows instead.
The matching black lampshades are such a pretty detail. Try a leafy wreath inside a worn-looking frame above your bed to follow this arrangement.
floral curtains and a window seat
This window seat may just be one of my favorites here. I love the pink patterned cushions and the floral curtains tucked beneath those big exposed beams.
The flowers also show up on the lampshade and bed skirt. Pick one floral pattern to repeat if you want to try this look without choosing lots of different prints.
flowers above the bookshelves
How pretty is this sloped ceiling? The little pink flower sprigs continue right down toward the white paneling, with bookshelves fitted beside the bed.
If you have a similar ceiling, consider making it the patterned part of your room. The pale pink bedding here is a lovely color to pair with it.
white curtains around the bed
I am obsessed with this curtained bed. The dark turned posts, pale gingham bedding and little ruffled edges are so pretty together.
Then there’s that chandelier! If you want to borrow just one detail, start with checked pillowcases with a ruffled border.
tulips on the bedside shelf
Here’s another view of the pink-and-gingham room, with more shelf details worth saving. The tulips, botanical picture and little house-shaped basket are adorable.
Try leaning a flower print beside a tall vase on your own shelf. I’d keep the pink candles too if you’re following this color combination.
curved headboard and landscape art
If you are looking for something a little less colorful, this one is for you. White bedding sits against a dark curved headboard, with an olive-toned floral cushion in front.
I especially love the landscape picture above the bed. A small countryside print would be a lovely starting point for your own version.
pink stripes and a floral bolster
How cute is this little window nook? The pink patterned seat has its own bolster cushion, while the bed gets a floral one.
The striped bed skirt and ruffled pillow are my favorite pairing here. Try repeating those stripes in a smaller cushion if you don’t want to change all your bedding.

brown checks and framed flowers
I love this brown gingham with the tiny floral bedding. The flower-patterned curtain and glowing round lamp make this bedside corner even prettier.
For a similar wall arrangement, mix a landscape with floral pictures in different-sized brown frames. They don’t all need to match.
pink floor and white fireplace
Don’t want patterned bedding or wallpaper? This room takes a simpler route with white walls, a black fireplace opening and a pink-painted floor.
The round gold-colored mirror above the mantel is such a lovely finishing touch. You could try pink on a small piece of furniture if painting the floor feels like too much.
roses above the wardrobe
The flowers don’t have to stay in a bedside vase! This tall curved wardrobe has pink and cream roses arranged across the top, with greenery trailing down the sides.
I love how the flowers follow the curve. For your own version, you could use a faux floral garland secured clear of the doors.
twin beds with pink pillows
These matching beds are just too pretty. The black scrollwork and gold-colored finials look lovely with white bedding and pale pink cushions.
A shared bedside table keeps the middle simple. Try two little botanical pictures stacked above it, just like this arrangement.
mint walls and a pink gallery
This one leans more modern than the traditional cottage rooms, but the pink-and-green pairing is worth a look. I love the flower pictures above the white bedding and green throw.
For a more countryside-inspired version, you could swap the typography prints for botanical drawings. Keep the ornate gold-colored mirror if you love that decorative detail.
checked canopy and pink ties
I am obsessed with this green checked canopy. It’s so cute with the pink ribbon ties and the white curtain behind the headboard.
The green lampshades pick up the checks above them. Keep pink pillows and a couple of floral cushions below if you want to follow the same combination.
a little writing corner
If you have room for a desk beside your bed, this is such a lovely idea. The dark writing desk has little compartments above the open work surface, with books and pictures tucked around them.

The green chair and patterned curtains are my favorite parts. A floral cushion would be a pretty addition to your own desk chair.
gray-green paneling and checks
If you’re looking for a quieter color combination, go with gray-green paneling, white bedding and checked cushions. I love the blue lines in the window-seat pillows.
The small patterned lampshades are worth a closer look too. You can add a little print there without covering a whole wall.
a chair beneath the beams
Want a reading corner in your bedroom? This pale wingback chair sits beneath the sloping beams, with a lamp beside it and a basket of books within reach.

The floral curtains are so pretty here. Try a rust-colored cushion behind a cream one if you want that same small touch of color.
ornate mirrors and pale drawers
The mirror fans are going to love this! There’s a tall decorative mirror on the left and an oval one above the drawers on the right.
I love their gold-colored frames against the pale gray walls. Pair a decorative mirror with a simple white pitcher if you want to try a smaller version of this corner.
pink flowers and a chandelier
This room takes the floral idea in a dressier direction. The chandelier hangs above white bedding, a pale pink throw and a rug covered in pink flower details.
The paired botanical prints above the curved headboard are gorgeous. That’s the detail I’d borrow if you want a little of this look without changing your furniture.
arched mirror and a dressing table
Last but definitely not least, we have this pretty dressing corner. I love the large arched mirror above the brown desk and the little round stool tucked in front.
The leafy stems and small tray keep the top decorated without filling every spot. Try grouping your own smaller pieces on one side to leave space for getting ready.
