Looking for bathroom vanity shelf organization ideas that give everything a place? Clear drawers, little countertop shelves and matching baskets give you plenty to work with.
These spaces include open shelving plus a few tucked-away drawer ideas for keeping your everyday products together.
You can keep it simple or organize the whole vanity. Start with the things you reach for most, then decide what you want on display and what you’d rather put away.
Bathroom Storage Ideas Worth Saving
clear cubes and rolled towels
We’re starting off strong with these cute clear storage cubes. I love the pink and white towels beside the rows of bottles.
Cotton pads and swabs get their own little corner above.
Try separating your products by category like this rather than filling every cube with a bit of everything.
pull-out trays under the sink
If you are looking for a way to use the space under your sink, this one is for you. Two narrow pull-out trays sit above a wider tray, with a gap between the upper sections for the plumbing.
Before choosing a similar setup, measure around your pipes as well as the cabinet opening.
one round skincare tray
Don’t want to add a whole shelf to your counter? No problem!
Gather your bottles and jars on a clear round tray like this one. The taller sprays sit behind the smaller pots so you can still see what’s there.
corner shelves and trailing greenery
This corner may just be one of my favorites here. I love the trailing greenery above the little bottles and folded towels.
Even the lowest shelf has a spot for a large basket.
Keep the things you use often on the middle shelves, then save the top for a few decorative pieces.
lined baskets beside the mirror
How cute are these matching baskets? The white liners look so pretty beside the folded towels and pale containers.
Dark bottles are grouped along the shelves rather than scattered across the sink.

Try a basket on the counter for the taller products you want close by.
little compartments around the sink
I am obsessed with how this drawer gives the little things their own space. There are long sections for tubes, a larger area for bottles and even a small compartment for colorful hair clips.
Arrange your organizers around the drawer’s cutout first. Then sort your products into the spaces that fit them.
three jars with pretty lids
If you love matching containers, save this one. Cotton balls, swabs and pads each have a clear lidded jar, with all three sitting on one oval tray.
Those faceted lid knobs are my favorite detail. There’s no need to add much else to this little arrangement.
a drawer with room to spare
Don’t want to fill every inch of your vanity? No problem there! This drawer keeps just a few items around its curved central cutout.
You could use a similarly spare layout for your everyday products and keep backups somewhere else.
white trays and brush cups
I love this little countertop setup. The white trays bring the bottles together while a separate cup holds the makeup brushes upright.
There’s also a lidded jar for cotton swabs.
If you take off your jewelry at the sink, I’d add a small dish rather than leave those pieces loose on the counter.
matching baskets on white shelves
If you are looking for bathroom vanity shelf organization that mixes hidden storage with open display, this one has plenty to borrow. The baskets hold bottles and towels while the clear jars keep smaller supplies visible.

I especially love the rolled towels beside the row of dark pump bottles. Keep the largest baskets on the bottom to follow this arrangement.
clear drawers with simple labels
Have lots of little products to sort? These labeled drawers give hair ties, cotton swabs and different makeup categories their own homes.
The larger open bins below hold taller bottles. Try sorting everything before buying containers so you know which categories need more room.
a cabinet-door hair station
This is such a useful spot to borrow from. The inside of the cabinet door holds cylindrical containers for styling tools, plus a small shelf underneath for other supplies.
Check that an organizer will clear your plumbing when the door closes. Let heated tools cool fully before putting them away.
colorful clips and stacked containers
How adorable are all those little hair clips? The clear stacked containers separate the different accessories while the rectangular organizer keeps sprays and tubes together.
I love that the colorful hair ties have their own small compartment too. Tiny accessories don’t have to disappear into one big drawer.
open shelves beneath the basin
If you’re looking for a simple open-shelf arrangement, go with folded towels above and baskets below. This vanity leaves space between the towel stacks instead of packing the shelves full.
The bottles sit together at one end. I’d keep that same little grouping for anything you reach for every morning.
separate cups for makeup brushes
The black and white brush holders are so pretty together. Larger brushes fill the middle container while slimmer brushes have their own cup on the right.
Try sorting yours by size like this. If you’re reusing an old candle vessel, clean out the residue fully before adding your brushes.
a long shelf below the drawers
I love how simple the storage looks beneath this double vanity. Dark baskets line up beside stacks of white towels, leaving the counter mostly clear.

The big blue vase is a lovely extra touch. For a smaller vanity, I’d borrow the basket-and-towel arrangement and leave more countertop space free.
a little two-level corner shelf
This is a cute way to add another level without filling the whole counter. Pump bottles and cotton swabs sit on top, with folded cloths and smaller bottles tucked underneath.
Choose a shelf that fits beside your sink without getting in the way of the faucet.
baskets for bathroom backups
Have more supplies than your vanity can hold? This wall of shelves gives the extras a separate home, with small baskets for bottles and larger handled baskets on the floor.
The folded towels get a shelf of their own. I love the big lidded basket at the top for keeping some of the storage out of sight.
dark shelves and gold accents
This two-level organizer is so pretty with the white bottles and gold-colored caps. The lower level holds a fuller row of products while the top mixes smaller containers with a diffuser and candle.
I’d keep the candle unlit in a display like this and use the upper shelf for the smaller items you want to see.
neat rows inside the drawers
Last but definitely not least, we have these beautifully divided vanity drawers. I love the row of round compacts beside the colorful lip products.
Cotton pads, swabs and hair accessories each get a separate clear compartment.
Keep your everyday makeup in the upper drawer, then try towels and extra bottles below. The little tray on the counter is all this setup needs on display.
