Looking for christmas candy ideas that go beyond a bowl of candy canes? Think striped bark, little wrapped caramels and jars filled with red-and-white sweets.
These pictures have plenty of inspiration for your holiday treat table, with a few candy decorations mixed in too.
You can keep things simple or go all out. Pick a pretty gift box, bring out your serving board or let an oversized striped bow do the decorating!
Sweet Christmas ideas worth saving
red-and-white candy bark
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous pile of candy bark. I love the mix of pale and dark layers with crushed red-and-white sweets scattered over the top.
For a similar serving idea, stack your pieces loosely on a plain plate. Keep those decorated sides facing up!
striped sweets in tall jars
How pretty is this candy display? The striped canes and swirled sweets look so cute in clear jars of different heights.
The greenery and red berries make the whole counter feel festive.
Try grouping your tallest jars at the back so the little dishes still have their moment.
simple fudge squares
If you are looking for something without sprinkles or extra decoration, this fudge is for you. The thick brown squares have plain sides and little swirls across their tops.

I’d serve these on a white dish and let the fudge be the whole display.
almond toffee pieces
This almond toffee may just be one of my favorites here. I love the golden edges showing beneath the dark topping and chopped nuts.
The irregular pieces look lovely tucked into a lined rectangular pan. Try that same presentation instead of arranging everything in neat rows.
swirled bark with tiny cookies
I am obsessed with this colorful bark. There’s so much to look at, from the tiny candy canes to the tree-shaped cookies and red and green candy pieces.
The brown-and-white swirls are pretty on their own too. If you want a simpler version, choose just a couple of these toppings for your own bark recipe.
a candy jar with a big bow
Want your candy gift to look a little more dressed up? This large jar has separate bands of wrapped sweets with red-and-white rounds in the middle.
That oversized striped bow is my favorite part. Add a similar bow around the neck of your jar rather than hiding the colorful contents.
colorful ribbon candy
How cute are these little ribbon folds? The red, green, white and orange pieces sit in separate rows, with a striped piece laid across the middle.
You don’t need lots of extra decoration here. I’d keep the colors visible in a divided candy dish.
a board full of holiday treats
If you are looking for a little bit of everything, then this one is for you. There are bowls of red and green candies, decorated tree treats, cookies and a pile of pretzels.
I love the little bowls tucked between the larger sweets. Use a similar layout to keep loose candy from rolling around your board.
wrapped caramels in a gift box
This is such a pretty way to package caramels. The golden pieces show through their individual wrappers, with twisted ends pointing in every direction.
Try red-dotted food-safe paper inside your box and a striped ribbon around the outside. You can keep the candy itself completely plain.

decorated dipped pretzels
The topping fans are going to love this! These large pretzels have dark or white coatings with different combinations of sprinkles, candy pieces and tiny marshmallows.
I especially love the red and green drizzle on the white ones. Arrange your finished pretzels in two overlapping rows for a similar gift-box presentation.
a colorful gumdrop tree
How adorable is that yellow candy topper? The green gumdrops mix with pink, orange and purple ones around the upper part of this cone, while the bottom is still uncovered.
For your own decorative version, use a food-safe barrier between the candy and its support. Keep it clearly separate from the loose sweets meant for snacking.
rustic golden candy pieces
Don’t want every piece to look perfectly even? No problem!
This golden-brown slab has been broken into chunky portions, with scattered crumbs and pale bits showing inside.
The picture doesn’t reveal the recipe, but the serving idea is worth saving. Let your own slab candy have those uneven edges instead of trimming every piece.
white-coated holiday snack mix
I love this mix of little cereal squares, pretzel shapes and bright red and green candies. The pale coating has tiny round sprinkles scattered all over it.
If you’re putting together a treat board, a bowl of a similar holiday mix would look so cute beside plain fudge squares.
ribbon sweets in a festive tin
This is another lovely way to show off ribbon candy. The colorful folded pieces peek out of a red tin, with its illustrated holiday lid propped beside it.
Choose a tin with a design you love. It can be part of the display rather than something you put away.
pink cotton candy and a bow
Want to swap the usual red and green for pink? This oversized cotton candy has a bright pink bow beneath it and a black-and-white checked detail at the base.
I’d borrow the color combination for a pink holiday sweets table. It’s a playful option if candy canes aren’t your whole theme.
red-swirled marshmallow cubes
These marshmallow cubes are just too pretty not to save. I love how the thin red swirls run through the white squares, with a powdery dusting over the outside.
Keep your serving dish simple if you’re following this look. Those little stripes are all the decoration you need.
wrapped candy wreath
Who says candy has to stay in a bowl? This wreath is covered in colorful wrapped sweets, with a big red-and-green plaid bow at the top.
The yellow wrappers make it especially cheerful. For a similar decorative wreath, keep each sweet wrapped and attach it by the wrapper rather than the candy.
sprinkled candy bites
I am obsessed with these little decorated bites. Some have white coatings, some have dark coatings and others are almost completely covered in red, green and white sprinkles.
Try mixing striped decorations with dotted ones on your own batch. You can keep the same colors without making every piece identical.
a tray of coated nuts
Here’s a different idea for your holiday snack spread. This lined tray is piled with brown-coated nuts, with ridged pecan shapes visible among the clusters.
The coating ingredients aren’t shown, so use a candied-nut recipe you trust. I’d serve them in a separate labeled bowl beside the other sweets.
a pick-and-mix candy table
Last but definitely not least, we have this pretty candy table. I love the tall jars of striped sticks and pale blue sweets behind the rows of brown bags.
Set out smaller bowls at the front if you want to borrow this arrangement. Add readable candy labels and scoops so your guests can put together their own little mix.
