Here’s a tip nobody tells you: the messiest looking collages are usually the ones people stare at the longest. A little overlap and a few crooked edges make the whole thing feel alive instead of stiff.
So if you’ve been arranging and rearranging photos trying to get it perfect, you can stop, lol! Perfect is not really the goal here.
This list came together after scrolling through way too many pins, honestly. Only the ideas that looked doable on a normal afternoon with normal supplies made the cut.
No fancy printers required, no expensive frames, nothing that needs a whole weekend. Just simple setups that actually look good once they’re hanging on a real wall.
Some of these use photos you already have sitting in your phone. Others work with stuff from nature, old tickets or fabric scraps you forgot about.

We’re starting off strong with the classic polaroid wall. Rows of instant photos taped straight to the wall look easy and honestly are.
No frames needed, which is my favorite part, haha!
She used plain washi tape instead of anything fancy and it still looked great!

Pressed flowers under glass feel fancy but the process is stupidly simple. I flatten a few blooms in a heavy book for a week or two.
