About Me

Hi, I’m Frida.
And I started Nuveline because I fell in love with Scandinavian style long before I ever felt like I fully understood how to make it work for myself.

To this day, some of the places I love going back to most are Stockholm, Copenhagen and Norway in general. I just feel so connected to that whole atmosphere. I love the culture, the calmness, the aesthetic, the way everything feels intentional without trying too hard. But more than anything, I’ve always been drawn to the style.

That effortless Scandinavian look, especially Stockholm style, has fascinated me for years.

There’s just something about it that feels so clean, cool, understated, and elevated at the same time. It looks simple, but in the best way. Nothing feels overdone, but it still feels stylish. And I think that’s exactly why I became so obsessed with it. It has that rare balance of looking put-together while still feeling natural.

And honestly, that’s exactly what made me want to understand it on a deeper level.

How It Started

For a long time, I admired that style from the outside.

I would see girls on Pinterest, TikTok, or Instagram and think their outfits looked so effortless and so chic. The whole look felt very natural on them. Clean layers, simple basics, muted tones, the right textures, the right proportions – it all just worked.

Because from the outside, it looked easy. It looked like you just throw on a coat, a knit, the right trousers, maybe sneakers or boots, and somehow it all looks perfect. But when I tried doing the same thing, it just didn’t always come together in that same effortless way.

So I started paying closer attention and not just to the obvious pieces, but to the little things like:

  • The fit
  • The proportions
  • The layering
  • The color tones
  • The fabrics

At the end of the day, it’s the in the small styling details that make the biggest difference.

And especially during 2022 when I started experimenting a LOT, I started realizing that this style is not just about buying the “right” pieces. It’s really about understanding how to wear them.

What I Learned Along the Way

The more I got into Scandinavian style, the more I started experimenting on my own.

Over time, I built up so much knowledge around this style just from trying, adjusting, reworking and learning what actually makes a difference.

I also got much more familiar with Scandinavian brands, which ones feel true to the aesthetic, which ones are worth knowing, and which pieces actually translate well into real life. And at the same time, I kept experimenting with how to recreate that overall feel in a way that still worked for me personally.

And these are exactly the things I share here on Nuveline, the experiences I’ve made and the outfit formulas I’ve found that actually work.

I break everything down step by step and explain it in a way that’s easy to follow, so you can actually apply it right away without a big budget.

Why I Started Nuveline

I created Nuveline because I wanted a space where I could really share this passion and everything I’ve learned along the way. And especially it’s very important to me that it’s not in a distant or overly polished way – and definitely not in a way that makes this style feel intimidating or out of reach.

I want to create a space here with you guys that’s personal, as transparent as possible and actually helpful.

Because I know how frustrating it can be when you really love a certain style, but just can’t seem to make it work for yourself. I know what it feels like to look at an outfit online and think, why does it look so effortless on her, but not on me?

And I also know how much of a difference it makes when someone actually breaks it down and explains what they did to make it work.

And that’s exactly what I do here on Nuveline.

How I build advice you can trust

My content always starts with function first.
I care about how things you’ll actually wear: warmth, movement, weather, footwear, fabric, comfort, durability. An outfit is only successful to me if it works beyond the photo.

I spend a lot of time researching Scandinavian designers, Copenhagen street style and the subtle shifts in Nordic fashion, because that’s where I find the ideas that have real staying power. I’m far less interested in short-term hype than in what actually lasts.

Rather than telling you to copy a single item or buy into a trend, I focus on teaching the logic behind style: proportion, layering, tone, balance, and practicality. I want you to understand why something works, so you can apply it in your own way.

I also continuously revise and improve what I publish. I update seasonally, refine recommendations and rework articles when something can be explained better. I care deeply about keeping Nuveline current, relevant, and worth your time.

I’m direct about what is personal preference and what is practical advice. If something is just my taste, I’ll say that. If I recommend something based on performance or usability, I’ll explain the reasoning behind it.
